May 2010 - Termination of Contract with Kararu :

We have terminated our contract with Kararu. After a few months working with them, we have found their operation is below our expectations of quality and professionalism for MSY Seahorse operations. In the past month we have seen some comments written in a newsletter that give the impression to our valued customers and agents that we are having 'maintenance issues on board the Seahorse'. Nothing could be further from the truth.

The fact is, we are the sole owners and operators of the MSY Seahorse Liveaboard and we are proud of her performance, providing our guests with excellent diving experience and comfort even in the remotest waters of Indonesia. Anyone who has sailed with us will back up the quality and service of our operation over the past 3 years. We create good relationships with all our guests, take a look at our testimonials to see how pleased our guests have been with our boat.

Kararu was a huge dissapointment on many fronts, both in terms of their professionalism and knowledge of the basic daily issues of boat operation, to their unclear accounting practices. They are well below our expectations both administrativley and operationally.

Since the termination of the Kararu agreement, we find ourselves in a position where many of the cruises formerly scheduled for 2010 by Kararu are now totally empty. Now, instead of being able to focus on what we do best - giving you the best dive experience - we have to re-schedule our trips, and get bookings again. Because of this, we would like to invite all those clients who were booked in the Seahorse by those who now are spreading bad news about us, to come diving with us on any of those trips at 50% the cruise price, and pay only at the end of the trip. In fact, we are so confident of the quality of our operations that we will guarantee it - if you find any 'maintenance issue' that makes your trip inconvenient, you won't have to pay a single cent of the trip price (those that were previously booked).
